The Economics department established in the year 1946 with the instituting of Shri R. K. Parikh Arts and Science College, Petlad offering bachelor’s degree.The post graduate department has also been started from the year 2012.

Department Activities: Youth Cooperative Education Training Classes are run in collaboration with District Cooperative Union for all round development of students.And G-Set online training and guidance for students pursuing higher studies.
